It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Hello, all! It's been a while. A year, in fact, since I updated this journal. But a lot has happened! I went to college, I wrote stories, I found LOVE. . . And somehow, there wasn't much time for deviantart in there :/ But. . . Today's a new day. I am working, full-force, on a new comic (called "Carnival of the Animals") and it's gonna be better than anything you've seen from me yet! You'll start to see new stuff for it in my gallery

This journal entry's gonna be sort of short, but as I said in the paragraph up there, I fell in love! Last summer, I went to that artist meetup (that I talked about in the journal I wrote a year ago) and I met the most fantastic guy there

His name is ~fleebites (haha) and he is incredible. We got together in October, and have been going strong since then!! He is much, much more of a talented artist than I am, so you should DEFINITELY check his stuff out! If you like webcomics, this one is just FANTASTIC: WOLF WEARS WOOL . . . one of the best ones I've ever read. He also has a dA ( [link] ), and a tumblr ( [link] ) . . . so yeah! Check dat outt
